Dr. L. N. Atkinson established County Animal Hospital in 1948, at a time when it was hard to find quality veterinary care in the St. Louis Area. Pet owners quickly discovered that the new practice not only stressed quality care, it also provided the full range of veterinary services they’d been looking for. The practice grew rapidly, and it has been growing ever since, keeping sight of its founder’s dedication to excellence and innovation in veterinary care.
County Animal Hospital and the AAHA:
In 1955, the hospital became a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, an organization in which all members have met the high AAHA standards for comprehensive professional services. County Animal Hospital LTD. was among the first AAHA members in the St. Louis Area. We have continued to renew our accreditation since 1955. Our hospital is inspected and evaluated by an expert to ensure that we comply with the highest standards in veterinary medicine. It means that you can be assured that your pet is receiving the best possible care, using the latest procedures and technology.
